Terms & Conditions
- General Registration
At the beginning of each new academic year, all students will continue to be enrolled unless written communication is sent to BLA as described in Section 9 of this document.
A non-refundable registration fee of $75.00 will be charged per student each academic year, or $150.00 per family.
New students who register after the beginning of the current academic year are also required to pay the non-refundable registration fee.
- Monthly Lessons
- Lessons are held according to our published yearly Teaching Calendar.
- Students are assigned a consistent weekly lesson time.
- No tuition is charged for holiday weeks (see calendar).
- Summer lessons are included for yearly students.
- Permanent schedule change requests must be submitted to the office at least seven days in advance (faculty cannot approve schedule changes directly).
- Duration
- This Agreement shall have a duration of one (1) academic year, beginning on the date of signature.
- It shall automatically renew for equal periods unless written notice of non-renewal is provided at least thirty (30) days in advance..
- Registration Fee
- At the time of enrollment, the Representative shall pay a registration fee of $75.00 which is non-refundable.
- Payments
- The monthly tuition fee must be paid within the first five (5) days of each month.
- In case of a delay exceeding ten (10) days, a late fee of $25.00 will be applied to the outstanding balance.
- Payments made are non-refundable under any circumstances, except in the event of a complete interruption of services by the Academy.
- Early Termination
In the event that the Representative wishes to cancel the contract before the expiration of the academic year:
- Written notice must be given at least thirty (30) days in advance.
- An administrative penalty of $95.00 will be charged for management and closure expenses.
- There will be no refund of tuition payments already made.
- Year Teachin Calendar
The official calendar is available at the school, in each studio, and included in registration documents.
- We close for all major holidays listed on this calendar.
- Students do not pay for holiday weeks.
- These weeks are not included in tuition.
- Tuition & Payments (Existing Policy)
- Tuition may be paid in full for the year or in monthly installments.
- Monthly tuition installments begin on October 1st, coinciding with the student’s first scheduled class, and continue on the 1st of each month thereafter.
- Tuition remains the same each month, since holiday weeks have already been factored out.
- Long months (5 lessons) and short months (3 lessons) are balanced into a consistent monthly rate.
- Tuition payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Any account changes require 30 days’ written notice from the 1st of the month.
- Students who withdraw before July may still owe a balance based on lessons received.
- Lesson Preparation
Students must bring:
- Their instrument (except pianists)
- Music materials
- Notebook and pencil
- A respectful attitude and readiness to learn
- Communications
BLA provides a web-based Customer/Parent Portal: https://babyloresacademy.com/parentportal/
Families can:
- View lesson schedules
- Make payments
- Notify missed lessons
- Send direct emails
Information is also shared by email, the academy website, posted calendars, and bulletin boards.
- Recitals
- All students must participate in recitals, with instructor approval.
- One recital per class (instrument or vocal) is required.
- Rehearsal fees will apply, determined by the number of students.
- Additional rehearsals may be scheduled on weeknights/weekends.
- A per-family rehearsal fee applies unless holding academy membership.
- Student Lesson Absences
- Missed lessons are not refundable.
- Notify the office 24 hours in advance (written: email or text) to qualify for a make-up.
- If a student is ill, they should not attend in person.
- Students missing 3+ consecutive lessons without notice may lose their time slot.
Make-up options:
- Zoom lesson at the same day/time.
- Pre-recorded lesson sent if canceled 24 hours in advance.
- One-hour group workshops available throughout the year.
- Teacher Absences
- If a teacher is absent, a substitute will be provided.
- If no substitute is available, lessons will be rescheduled.
- Elective group lessons (theory, solfege, ensembles, etc.) do not receive make-ups if missed by the student.
- If canceled by the school (e.g., hurricane), a make-up session will be scheduled.
- Payment Authorization & Releases
- Automatic Payment Authorization required for installment plans.
- Adult & Minor Liability Waivers must be signed at registration.
- Media Release allows photography and video for academy use.
- Sale Terms for Instruments & Accessories
- All orders at BabyLoresAcademy.com are prepaid by credit card.
- Orders placed with La Eskina D’Lores LLC are prepaid by credit card or PayPal.
- Cancellations require approval and will not be accepted for:
o Work in progress
o Re-label production
o Private label orders
- Orders may be denied if billing/shipping information is invalid or fraudulent.
- Shipping is calculated directly through USPS.
- Backorders may cause delays; orders ship once the product is available.
